Even though I am staying home right now and not really working, some consulting here and there as I find it, I have discovered I have a whole new appreciation for working moms. I am pretty sure I would have a total breakdown if I was trying to work a full time job, be a good wife and good mother. Not to mention day cares make cringe and if I had to drop my adorable angel there while strangers got to watch his daily growth and milestones I would cry and cry. Like I said women who do this, WOW you are amazing!!
But back to my new love, my crock pot. Why you ask, well even though I am home all day I often reach 4pm without so much as a shower and wondering where did the day go. My 11lb ball of love is time consuming, if I am not feeding him, changing his diaper or soothing some tears I am probably enjoying playing and talking to him. And then suddenly its 7pm which means bath and bedtime and then at 745 my husband wants to know whats for dinner. After serving dinner at 9pm a few weeks I decided to break out the crock pot and see what I could do. AND then I found this blog and now well I may break the crock pot from over use. If you find yourself totally out of time check out her blog and try some recipes.
Throw in a pot and smell it all day!

Photoshop Practice
Holman Family Update...
Its been awhile since I last updated everyone on life at the Holman Household. Its amazing how busy a day can be when caring for a little one. EJ and I have managed to get our house almost completely unpacked and wow has that been a process. I was determined to get rid of all the junk Craig and I had gathered the last few years so that we had room. I am attempting to start the rule bring something in, something has to go out. I hate clutter we will see if it works, Craig loves to keep everything. EJ and I finally made it to Memphis to meet the other side of the family it was nice to spend a week there however it was under super sad circumstances. My best and oldest friend lost her mother to a battle with cancer. It was a somber day but one that had a happy note as my closest friends and I were able to get together. We missed our dear Laura but she was at home recovering from the birth of her baby boy Levi!! On a truly amazing note Lindsey's mom left our world and less than 5 minutes later Levi entered. So as sad as it was we celebrated the life of a sweet woman and the life to come of a precious baby boy. Gives you goosebumps doesn't it.
Here are some pics of the little man! He is growing like crazy. I am in the process of teaching myself photoshop so I can clean up the pics that we take. I used to be able to navigate it a bit in college so with my basic knowledge and Photoshop for dummies I hope to have it all figured out soon.

Mini Craig
Guess who my Daddy is?
Little EJ is a mini version of Craig, its absolutely unreal how much he looks like his father. He even inherited Craig's absurdly large big toe. If he hadn't resided in me for 9 months I might wonder but he makes my faces and may get my eye color. Regardless who he looks like he is amazingly handsome. Maybe if we have a little girl next she will look just like me?
